Engineering – why a tube?
The tubular form provides a maximal internal volume
for a minimal external surface area. To be able to live
and sleep in quarters of such an unusual shape is an
incentive, offered by these modules. Each module can
be used independently and can be shipped completely
furnished. Arrived at the location, swisstubes can be
combinated and installed with other tubes, so that they
are immediately ready to be inhabited. By the use of
external coupling (such as corridors and stairs), the
modules are integrated to form a large struture.
